An original watercolour painting painted on 300gsm Saunders waterford watercolour paper using Daniel Smith artist quality watercolour paints. 
 
Inspired by the bumblebees that visit the lavender in our garden. The painting started with a loose wash, where you flood the paper with colour in a considered manner. Once dry the bee was added and the lavender defined in places. Painted without any preliminary sketch.
