Original watercolour painting painted on 300gsm Bockingford watercolour paper using Daniel Smith artist quality watercolour paints. 
 
Inspired by the bumblebees that visit the lavender in our garden. The painting started with a loose wash and cling film placed in the foreground to create texture. The bees were painted next and more details on the flowers and background added in a considered manner, ensuring an overall looseness with a hint of definition.
