Tulips and Tangerines

A loose watercolour painting of an arrangement of orange tulips and a couple of tangerines. I love tulips, love how the flowers flop into graceful heaps even as they are going over. These orange tulips didn't seem to be the popular choice, as I found them in the bargain bucket in the supermarket, but I liked the fresh and zingy, citrus vibe!
The painting was completed in two stages. In the first stage I layed down colours in a loose manner. Once dried the tones were strengthened in places and details suggested.
Double mounted in acid free off-white mount and presented in a white wooden frame. Due to the frame containing glass this item is for collection only/free delivery within 5 miles of NG9.
